1. EA not showing in Navigator
Check the file:
Make sure the EA file is installed correctly. If the EA is a compressed file, please unzip it and copy the contents of the unzipped file into the correct directory, not the entire folder.
Make sure the EA version you downloaded matches your platform: MT4 needs to use the ex4 file.
2. When EA is backtesting, the progress bar runs out very quickly
Lack of historical data:make sure you have downloaded the historical data you need.
View logs:view the download progress in the Log tab of the Terminal window.
3. When EA is backtesting, it stops running as soon as the button is clicked
Check multi-variety symbol settings:make sure that your EA includes the current testing symbol in the multi-variety symbol settings. If you are using an uncommon symbol, check whether it is entered correctly.
4. Error ‘ordersend failed’
Check platform support:make sure that your trading platform supports EA to place orders.
Check the minimum transaction volume:сheck the minimum trading volume allowed by the platform to ensure that the trading volume set by the EA meets the requirements. You can right-click the product in the Market quotation window and select ‘Specifications’ to view relevant information.
5. There are no orders for a long time after EA backtesting
Open panel inspection:click ‘Long at Current Price’ or ‘Short at Current Price’ on the opening panel to check if there are any orders executed.
Check frequency setting:it may be that the opening conditions occur too rarely. Wait a little longer and there will be orders executed.
6. The closing panel is unresponsive
Check order management:check whether the orders of this trading instrument are managed by the current EA. Click ‘Profit and Loss Information’ in the information display to check whether the profit and loss information of this product is displayed.
Manage manual order:if there is no order for this product, click ‘Manage Manual Orders’ in the global settings to perform the above actions.
7. EA cannot be loaded
Operating system compatibility: check whether your operating system is 64-bit. EA can only run on 64-bit operating systems.
If the EA still does not work properly after performing these steps, it is recommended to contact the EA developer for further support.
