You can take screenshots of charts using the main menu:

  1. Open the chart:make sure you have the diagram you would like to screenshot open.

  2. Click on ‘File’:click on ‘File’ in the top menu or use the shortcut Alt + F.

  3. Select ‘Save As Picture’:select ’Save as Picture’ from the drop-down menu.

  4. Decide which part of a chart to save

    • Active workspace:a screenshot of the entire workspace, including charts and other elements.

    • Activity chart (as is):a screenshot of the entire chart as you see it.

    • Active chart:a screenshot of a chart of a specific size. If you choose this option, you need to enter the desired width and height in pixels first.

Alternatively, you can take a screenshot using the right-click menu:

  1. Right click anywhere on the chart:right-click on the chart you would like to screenshot.

  2. Select ‘Save As Picture’:select ’Save as Picture’ from the drop-down menu.

  3. Follow the steps above to select the type of screenshot.

Useful Tips

  • Resize the window:if the screenshot size is too large, you can resize the chart window or use the ‘Active chart’ option to set a specific size.

  • Move a chart:if the part of a chart you would like to be screenshotted is not included in a screenshot, you can adjust the position of the chart before taking the screenshot.

By following these steps you can easily take screenshots of charts in MetaTrader 4.
